Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026

Plain-English summary. Embers is pre-launch. The only personal data we currently collect is what you put in our waitlist form (email, plus optional hosting preference and tier interest). We use it to email you when we launch and to size early access. We don't sell it. We don't share it. You can be removed at any time by emailing hello@tryembers.com.

Who we are

Embers is operated by Assay Ventures (United States). Contact: hello@tryembers.com.

What we collect (waitlist phase)

What we collect (post-launch — preview)

When the product launches, additional data flows apply: account credentials, usage telemetry (replies-drafted counts, not message contents), Stripe billing data, and, for Cloud customers, the SMS bridge metadata required to deliver messages. A full privacy policy will be published before any paying customer is onboarded.

How we use waitlist data

Who we share it with

We do not sell waitlist data. The only third parties that touch it are:

Cookies + tracking

This site does not use cookies for tracking. Plausible is cookie-free by design. We may set a session cookie at launch for authenticated areas — that policy will be published when applicable.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You can ask us to:

Email hello@tryembers.com from the address you signed up with. We respond within 30 days.

Retention

Waitlist data is kept until launch + 12 months, then either migrated to your account record (if you sign up) or deleted.

Data security

Data is stored in Supabase (US region) with row-level security policies that restrict reads to administrative access. Connections are TLS-encrypted in transit. The Supabase project uses standard managed-Postgres encryption-at-rest.

Children

Embers is not directed at users under 18. Do not sign up if you're under 18.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top when we change anything. Material changes will trigger an email to waitlist members before they take effect.
